■ What is responsible care
“Responsible Care®” is a voluntary behavior of global chemical industry on continuous improvement of health, safety and environment (HSE), and a voluntary action exclusively for chemical industry. This action aims to improve health, safety and environmental performance of chemical companies in production and operation, and to raise awareness and participation of local community in chemical industry.Up to now, Chemical Manufacturers Associations in more than 50 countries have joined Responsible Care®, including thousands of chemical companies e.g. BASF, Bayer, Shell, Mobil and etc.

Responsible Care® is not a series of rules and slogans, but a responsibility as a corporate citizen: it enables chemical industry to show the world its achievements in terms of health, safety and environmental quality, and in promoting industrial development through information sharing, strict testing system, operating indicators and certification procedures. Global chemical industry can make its production processes safer and more efficient by implementing Responsible Care®. Thereby, they can create greater economic benefits for enterprises, and can gain public trust and achieve sustainable development of the entire industry greatly.
